This Cape Cod poolhouse reflects the material language of the property’s older, adjacent main house, while simultaneously updating and modernizing it. The sides of the poolhouse open fully, creating a sense of openness during the warmer months. A pergola unites the kitchenette and changing area space with a screened-in porch for entertaining, while boat storage space is tucked away underneath.
The two main spaces of the poolhouse are cantilevered above the surrounding yard to give the feeling of being in a treehouse, while also protecting the structure from flooding from an adjacent bay.
